Mr. Gamal Awad enjoys over 30 years of successful banking experience in several fields including Business Development, Corporate Finance, Remedial Management, and Risk Management. He joined EGE in March 2022 as General Manager and is also currently the COO at the Export Development Bank of Egypt (EBank).
Mr. Awad received his bachelor’s degree from Cairo University in addition to a Diploma in Feasibility Studies and Evaluation of Governmental Projects and Private Projects from the Faculty of Economic and Political Science.
Prior to joining EBank, Mr. Awad worked as a development banker at Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (formerly National Development Bank), after that, he spent 11 years in Banque du Caire, then joined the Suez Canal Bank before later joining the Export Development Bank (EBank) from 2007 until now. Furthermore, he holds several professional diplomas in the areas of financial analysis, trade finance, loans and recovery.
