EGE signs a cooperation protocol with the General Organization for Export & Import Control

The 13th of June 2023 witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Export Credit Guarantee Co. of Egypt (EGE) and the General Organization for Export & Import Control. The signing of the protocol aims at cooperation in exchanging information and data on Egyptian exports and imports.

It was signed by Mr. Gamal Awad – the general manager and a member of the Board of Directors of EGE, and by Major General Engineer/ Essam El-Naggar – Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Organization for Export & Import Control, and the signing took place inside the Organization‘s headquarters.

Under this protocol, the parties undertake to:

  • Exchanging available information and data related to Egypt’s foreign trade and classifying them according to countries, agreements and different production sectors if requested by either party and without violating the rules, laws, decisions, and instructions in force in this regard.
  • Exchanging all available information and data related to the classification of imported and exported commodities according to their priorities and importance to the Arab Republic of Egypt if requested by one of the parties and without violating the rules, laws, decisions, and instructions in force in this regard.

The two parties stressed the importance of cooperation between the EGE and the General Organization for Export & Import Control, which supports the Egyptian state’s direction to increase the volume of exports, and also comes in support of the development file.
